Backpackers VS Glampackers

Backpackers VS Glampackers

If you love traveling, chances are you are either a backpacker or a glampacker. To help you find out, here’s everything you need to know about these two types of travellers.

Travelling in the last few decades has become easier.

However, the last two years have been difficult for all travel lovers due to COVID-19. But finally the restrictions are easing up and we can now travel again almost without any fears.

However, there are many ways to travel and similarly there are many types of travellers. Nowadays there are so many travel buzzwords such as “Staycation”, “mini moon”, “slow travel”. Surely you’re familiar with classic terms like “backpacker” and “glamping”, but have you heard of the “glampacker”?

Let’s see what is the difference between a backpacker and a glampacker.

Backpackers

Backpackers typically keep a watchful eye on their budget. These independent travellers go on exceptionally long trips compared to regular vacationers. They either stay in one place for a long period of time or hop from country to country.

Also Backpackers travel quite differently. Instead of moving from city to city to see popular destinations, they tend to move around to experience new cultures and get to know the locals or sometimes even to get to know themselves.

Backpackers are in no rush to get back to the real world, and to them, travel is a way of life. You could say for them it’s not about the destination but about the journey.

Glampackers

Glampackers with a little more money to burn, know how to travel without sacrificing comfort or style. Some glampackers are all about luxury while others aren’t necessarily hung up on getting the five-star experience.

Nevertheless, they still want a taste of the finer things in life. To these travellers, it’s mostly a question of, “why stay in a hostel when I can opt for a boutique hotel with my very own bathroom?”

Nevertheless, whether you’re a backpacker or glampacker, the main purpose of it all is to travel and create unforgettable memories!
